The Exam Overview
The IBPS is yet to produce an official statement regarding the application procedure, as well as for the tentative dates of Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Patterns of Exam-Prelims
Both preliminary and main entrances for IBPS PO Exam are conducted online. To appear for the computer-based prelims, you have to appear for subjects like Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability and English Language. On a total basis, you will have to appear for 100 questions. 30 questions relate to your knowledge of the English language, while the total marks for Numerical ability and Reasoning ability are 35 for each discipline. You will get 20 minutes to complete each of the subject questions.
Patterns of Exam-Mains
For the Main section, you have to appear for four different disciplines. In the multiple-choice questions or MCQ section, there would be separate question sets for English language, Reasoning ability, General/Financial Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude. For each subject, the sectional timing is different. There is also a separate descriptive test section. There you will have to appear to prove your competency in letter and essay writing. There will be 25 marks for each question. The time limit is 30 minutes. You have to type your answers on the computer.
