Answer: c) 2 to 5 days.
- Since the soil in a drained test is sheared more slowly, the complete dissipation of pore pressure takes place & it takes nearly 2 to 5 days for shearing cohesive type of soil.
- The consolidated drained test is also called as a slow test or drained test, where the rate of application of loading is slowly and therefore the excess pore pressure is not developed within the sample.
